Music in Parks: Ijebu Pleasure Club, Unchained XL and Aro

  • Omana Regional Park 17 Omana Beach Rd Auckland, Auckland, 2018 New Zealand (map)

Kicking off Auckland Council's Music in Parks series, there is so much to enjoy at this location that we recommend you make a weekend of it. Omana Regional Park is a campsite and this event presents the perfect opportunity for you to experience live music then sleep over and explore the next day.

Don't miss performances by Ijebu Pleasure Club, Unchained XL and Aro.

Ijebu Pleasure Club will have you ‘shaking it’! Mashing up music you’ll remember with the Nigerian funk style of Fela Kuti. Featuring a five-piece horn section, and groovy rhythms, this ensemble really packs a punch!

Unchained XL is a Nigerian Kiwi rapper and producer based in Auckland. He has a talent for sharp, honest lyrics and his band provides an electric live performance to keep you entertained.

Aro are a fun duo expressing their hearts for the people, the culture and the land of Aotearoa through rhythm, harmony and thought-provoking lyrics. They perform a fusion of reggae, blues, jazz and pop.

Omana Regional Park is situated on a gently contoured knoll from which visitors can enjoy outstanding views of the inner Hauraki Gulf. An ideal family park with a shelly beach offering safe swimming at high tide, shady pōhutukawa, walks to farmland and an intriguing pā site.

This is a smoke free event.
