The Flying McNicoll Brothers

JAZZ DUO/TRIO/QUARTET

They don’t fly, and they’re not actually brothers, but after more than 30 years of playing together in groups large and small, the duo of Ben McNicoll and Lance McNicoll have an intuitive sense of what comes next.

Playing a selection of their favourite bebop, bossa nova, ballads and blues, the band is ideally suited to events where the music should bubble in the background, without dominating the space. But they can hold attention, if that’s what’s called for!

The group can be expanded to trio, or quartet with the addition of bass and drums.

Suitable for weddings & cocktail events, corporate functions, restaurants, outdoor events. For out of the way events, the duo can play unplugged, with a battery-powered amp, or completely acoustic as a roaming group. Based in Auckland, and can travel.
