CTI All-Stars pay tribute to Creed Taylor

Through the 1970’s CTI Records, and it’s sister imprint Kudu defined a jazz-funk sound for a generation, as the home of artists such as Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Bob James, Hubert Laws, George Benson, Idris Muhammed & more.

Inspired by the CTI All-Stars concerts, featuring different combinations of the band-leaders on the label, Ben McNicoll has assembled some fellow-travellers to play some of their favourite cuts, with Joe Kaptein, Mostyn Cole, Kurt Dyer, Andy Keegan and special guest Jason Herbert.
